David Fitzgerald will miss out on Sunday’s Munster hurling championship clash with Limerick
The Inagh-Kilnamona man suffered a hamstring injury playing for his club last weekend and is not listed on the matchday 26 for the Shannonside derby.
Clare management have opted to stick with the same starting 15 that beat Waterford last time out, meaning Shane O’Donnell starts in the full forward line with Shane Meehan on the bench, while David McInerney is fit to take his place among the replacements.
Meanwhile Limerick manager John Kiely has drafted in Darragh O’Donovan and Tom Morrissey to their starting 15, with the suspended Cian Lynch missing out while David Reidy drops to the bench.
Gearoid Hegarty is named at corner foward with O’Donovan partnering Adam English at midfield.
