The HSE is being urged to progress it’s new plans for a community hospital in Ennis as soon as possible.
The controversial €25m proposal for the facility on a grace space at St Flannan’s College was refused by An Coimisúin Pleanála last December.

The HSE has now signalled its intention to reapply for planning at the site, with a submission expected to be made by September.
Doonbeg Fianna Fáil Councillor and HSE Regional Health Forum MidWest member Rita McInerney says a geriatric hospital is urgently needed.
