Wolfe Tones boss Kieran Ryan says his side will take plenty learnings from their opening game of the TUS senior football championship.
Last years intermediate champions opened their campaign with a 0-13 to 0-5 loss against St Breckan’s.
They now face a must win tie against Miltown in Round Two, with the losers of that tie likely to be facing the prospect of a relegation battle.
Meanwhile Kildysart boss Maurice Walsh is praising his sides character for battling back from a seven point half time deficit to earn a draw with Doora Barefield.
The Estuary club produced an eight point second half turnaround to lead in the closing stages, before the Parish landed a late leveller.
Walsh says they will use it as a stepping stone for the second round when they take on Cratloe.
