Clare Political Activist Criticises ‘Nasty’ Trump Protestors Ahead Of Irish Open

A Clare political activist has criticised those planning to protest at the Amgen Irish Open, labelling potential demonstrators as ‘nasty’.

Several activist groups are expected to stage the ‘Great Irish Unwelcome’ demonstration, protesting Donald Trump’s arrival to his Doonbeg course for the tournament.

Clarecastle resident Geraldine Gregan has criticised an article by Justine McCarthy in The Irish Times, which stated she was contemplating raising a placard which displays ‘buzz off – you’re not our type’.

Geraldine told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that protestors don’t represent the views of the Doonbeg community.
