Ennis Stroke Survivor Warns Of Silent Symptoms As Fundraiser Launched

A Clare stroke survivor is urging people not to ignore warning signs that could have serious consequences later in life.

Ennis resident Peter Dooley spent four months undergoing rehabilitation at St Camillus’s Community Hospital in Limerick, following a major stroke in September 2020.

Six years on, he’s raising funds for the Mid-West facility by launching a new song with his band, the Buzzmonkeys, at Lucas’s Bar on Culture Night, September 18th, with all proceeds going to the hospital.

Peter says there can be life after a stroke, but he’s urging people to recognise the warning signs and take action.
