The manager of the defending Clare Senior Football champions is calling on the Clare County Board to deal with the issues surrounding fixtures in the Cusack Cup.
Aiden Moloney is commenting ahead of this weekends games in the the Clare Football championship, which will see his Kilmurry Ibrickane side taking on O’Currys in the winners round.
Kilmurry are also the defending league champions, with two games in their campaign resulting in walkovers as they refused to fulfill a fixture against this weekends opponents before Cratloe conceded the points in their closing group game.
Moloney says it’s meant they have gone a long spell without competitive action, and it’s an issue they’re hoping to see resolved.
That game starts at 4.30pm in Doonbeg on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile 2015 champions Miltown are facing a winner takes all battle against St Breckans in the losers round on Sunday.
Michael Neylon’s side lost out to Doonbeg in Round One, meaning they cannot afford any more slip ups if they’re to regain Jack Daly.
They come into the game with a number of injuries, with midfielder Darragh McDonagh and defender Brendan O’Brien ruled out.
Neylon says they’ll need to be at their best to stay in the championship.
