Busy Day of Local GAA Action in Clare

Locally, hurling action focuses on the Clare Cup semi-finals.

Kilmaley and Broadford begin proceedings when they meet in Newmarket-on-Fergus at 2pm.

Then at 4pm, Sixmilebridge and Inagh/Kilnamona will clash in Tulla.

The two winners advance to next week’s final.

The first of two big football finals takes place this evening as Doonbeg and Kildysart face each other in the Garry Cup Final.

Throw-in at Cooraclare is 5.30pm and we’ll have regular updates throughout the evening here on Clare FM.

And tomorrow, it’s the Cusack Cup Final as county champions St. Joseph’s Miltown Malbay take on Clondegad.

Cooraclare is again the venue and throw-in is 4pm.

There are also six games in the Junior A Football Championship

Ballyvaughan and Meelick begin the action at 4pm; before Cratloe take on Ennistymon at 6pm.

There are three games at 7pm – St. Joseph’s Doora/Barefield versus Kilrush, Banner against Michael Cusacks, and St. Joseph’s Miltown Malbay take on Cooraclare.

At 7.30pm, it’s the turn of Doonbeg and Kilmurry/Ibrickane in Cooraclare.

Wolfe Tones meet Éire Óg in Clooney at 7pm.

Two Clare footballers are representing Ireland today in an international compromise rules masters contest in Cavan.

Kilmurry/Ibrickane’s Odran O’Dwyer and Liscannor’s Ronan Slattery will line out for their country against Australia.

Throw-in at Denn GAA club, Cavan is 3pm.
