There are 6 games down for decision this afternoon in the second round of the Clare Senior Football Championship.
The first of those comes at 1pm in Shannon as a repeat of the 2014 final when Cratloe and Eire Óg renew rivalries with a place in the last eight on offer for the winners.
At 2pm in Gurteen, it’s survival in the championship that’s at stake when Wolfe Tones take on Corofin while at the same time in Corofin, Kilfenora and St Josephs do battle also in the losers round.
There’s an all parish derby in store at 3pm in Cooraclare as Lissycasey and Clondegad meet in the winners round.
At 4.30pm in Doonbeg, champions Kilmurry Ibrickane face O’Currys as both sides bid to seal a place in the quarter finals.
It’s a 7pm start in Quilty as neighbours Doonbeg and Cooraclare square off for a spot in the last 8.
It’s also a busy day in the Clare IFC.
In Group One, Kilmihil and Kildysart meet in a repeat of last years semi final with that one underway at 6.30pm in Kilrush, while at 3.30pm in Corofin, Liscannor face Clarecastle.
In Group Two, Coolmeen or Kilrush can take a huge step towards the last four when they meet in Labasheeda at 2pm with the clash of Meelick and Shannon Gaels underway in Shannon at 5.30pm.
