A fallen tree is blocking road access in Meelick as almost 1,000 homes and businesses are without power in Clare amid a yellow wind warning.
The vast majority of these are seen in Ballyea where about 700 premises are without power.

The ESB estimates restoration works will be completed before 7.30
Meanwhile, a further 200 homes are in the dark near sixmilrbidge with power to be restored before 7:15pm.
The yellow wind warning is due to expire at 9pm tonight.
