A late point at the end of extra time by WIT's Tom Fox saw them finish all square with UL in the Fitzgibbon Cup Final.
In a game filled with drama, Ballyea's Tony Kelly was the hero in normal time as his last gasp pointed free saw the sides level at the end of 60 minutes, and sent the game to extra time.
The Brian Lohan trained UL had led at half time by 0-6 to 0-4, and with a gale to come at their backs in the second half, looked certain to be in the driving seat.
They got the perfect tonic after 33 minutes when Tommy Heffernan goaled, but led by Pauric Mahony, WIT took the lead late in the game by a single point, before Kellys late free tied it up once more.
Tipperary's Jason Forde goaled for UL in the opening period of extra time, and they led 2-11 to 0-16 at the interval.
A third goal from Stephen Bennett saw them go three points clear with 7 minutes left in the tie, but two points from center back Martin O'Neill and Fox's late score ensured another day out.
No date has been set for the replay, with a decision expected tomorrow.
