Organisers of Ireland’s premier stage race for women’s cycling have revealed that they hope to stage a race around the streets of Ennis as part of the event, which is coming to Clare next year.
The 2013 An Post Ras na mBan is moving from Kerry to the Banner County next year, and will see six stages held throughout Clare over a five day period in September.
The international field of riders and teams will be based in Ennis, while it’s hoped the county town could also play host to the fan-friendly spectacle of a timed race along its streets.
Full details will be announced in the New Year, but race organiser and Corofin woman Valerie Considine says they’re hoping to put on an exciting show
