Very Uncomfortable “Tropical Nights” In Clare With Temps Peaking On Thursday

Met Éireann is warning that very uncomfortable “tropical nights” will be experienced in Clare this week.

A status yellow high temperature alert is now in force and will remain in place until Friday.

Shannon was the warmest part of the country yesterday, with temperatures of 27 degrees recorded, but while it will be warm and sunny here today, it won’t be as warm as other parts of the country.

Temperatures will begin to pick up from tomorrow in Clare, and the national forecaster says it will be exceptionally hot here on Thursday.

Tullycrine-based Met Éireann forecaster, Michelle Dillon says night-time temperatures will also be particularly high.
