A 0-20 to 0-17 loss against Cork in Thurles brought the curtain down on the year, meaning Clare have now won just one championship match since winning the All Ireland in 2013.

Clare led by two points with ten minutes to play, but five unanswered points, four of those from Patrick Horgan, saw Cork take the three point win.

The Sixmilebridge man said Clare's wides tally of 18 was costly

The Rebels now face Galway in the last 8, while Dublin will meet the losers of this afternoons Munster Final after they came from 8 points down to beat Limerick.
