The Limerick college were initially reinstated after I-T Carlow were thrown out for fielding an illegal player, before Carlow won an appeal against that decision.
I-T Carlow are due to play their quarter final with Davy Fitzgerald's L-I-T this afternoon, while Waterford IT are to take on D-I-T tonight, if those games do proceed.
