The Premier led by 0-7 to 0-3 at half time, with the sides swapping goals early in the second half, Amy Keating with the Banner's green flag.
A second Clare goal came from Aoibheann Duggan after 60 minutes to leave just three between them, but that was as good as it got as Tipp ran out winners by 1-15 to 2-7
