The Clare County board say they will have to look at postponing the next round of the Clare Senior Hurling Championship due to the county’s continued success in the Senior and Under 21 All Ireland Championships.
The second round was due to take place on the weekend of August 17th/18th but with the Clare senior Hurlers progressing to an All Ireland Semi final against Limerick that weekend they will have to be pushed back.
County board secretary Pat Fitzgerald says the Under 21 championship also has a bearing on the dates available.
Meanwhile,
Crusheen’s Cian Dillon admits bringing the whole of Clare to Croke Park for an All Ireland Semi final is something they have all dreamed about.
The banner men look forward to that last four clash against Munster champions Limerick having overcome last years All Ireland finalists Galway.
Dillon says a place in the All Ireland final would be a dream come true.
