Clare and Kilkenny get set for All Ireland final

Clare U21 hurling captain Conor Mc Grath admits the county face their toughest challenge yet when they face Kilkenny in the All Ireland final tomorrow.

The Cratloe club man feels the county will need to show a big improvement on their form so far this year to overcome the Cats.

The corner forward believes only a superb performance will see Clare win their second ever All Ireland U21 title

The U21’s will be looking to avenge their All Ireland minor defeat of two seasons ago against the same Kilkenny side.

Clare joint manager Gerry O Connor  feels the side have matured since 2010 Kilkenny have named Cillian Buckley at wing forward for tomorrows under 21 All Ireland final in Thurles.

Other members of Brian Cody’s panel that have been included are Richie Doyle who starts at centre back with fellow senior squad member Willie Phelan at full back and Walter Walsh at corner forward.

The gaa have also confirmed that Saturday’s final will go to extra time if the sides are level after 60 minutes
