The family of Síle Callinan; Micheál Talty, Silé’s fiance and Anne-Marie Callinan, Síle’s sister joined Gavin on Morning Focus today.
The Síle Callinan Memorial Tournament is set to return this weekend. The seven-a-side ladies football tournament takes place in Cooraclare for the third time this Saturday. It is held in memory of the 26-year-old from Cree who had suffered from cystic fibrosis and lost her life in 2017, aged 26. The previous two editions have raised tens of thousands of euro to support CF services for the people of Clare, and the tournament will be supported by ladies football sides from all over Clare. Joe Brolly, GAA pundit, All Ireland winner will be a special guest at this weekends tournament, he joined us on-air also.
