Agnes Diviney (née Burke)

Ballinakill, Gort, Galway. Passed away peacefully at University Hospital Galway, surrounded by her loving family,following a short illness. Predeceased by her beloved parents, Bridie and Bernard Burke, and her cherished sister Nora.

Agnes was the much-loved and devoted wife of Martin, and a loving mother to Adrian, Brian, Kieran and Denise. She was a treasured Grandmother to Cathal, Darragh, Aiveen, Charlie, Megan, Bobby, Faye, Harry, Freddie and Matthew, all of whom she adored. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters-in-law Yvonne, Niamh and Lynda, her son-in-law Stephan, her sisters Mary, Bernadette, Martina and her twin sister Christina, her brothers Pakie, Kevin, Brian, Noel and Vincent, and her nieces & nephews, extended family, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

The Diviney family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and the staff of University Hospital Galway for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Agnes during her short illness.

Agnes will repose at St. Anne’s Church, Shanaglish, Gort, Co.Galway (H91H9X2) on Wednesday, 15th July, from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 16th July, at 12 noon in St. Anne’s Church Shanaglish, followed by burial in the New Cemetery.

All traffic wishing to attend the funeral can enter via Marcus Motors and exit via Crossford and Keane’s Cross.

She worked with love in all she did,with gentle hands and heart so true. Her cooking and baking brought joy to all who knew. The crown jewel of her family, treasured every day. Now may she rest in peace, as love lights her heavenly way.
