Lissycasey boss David Considine says his players made the decision to take on the two point effort which saw them crowned 2026 Will We Go Cusack Cup champions.
Thomas Collins nailed a dramatic late kick to see them overcome Miltown by a single point to win the title for the second time in three seasons.

It came after a breach was called against Miltown, with players opting to give Collins the chance to land the winner rather than tapping over a close range free to bring the game to extra time.
Considine says both sets of players deserve immense credit for the quality of the contest.
