Three Hospitalised Following Three Separate Assaults in Clare

Three people have been hospitalised following three separate assaults in County Clare.

The incidents happened in Ennis and Shannon between Wednesday and Friday last week.

The alarm was raised at around 8.30 last Wednesday evening, when a man in his 30s was assaulted by a person known to him in the Water Park Heights area of Ennis.

It’s understood he suffered an injury to his arm and required hospital treatment.

A suspect has been identified and Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam footage, to contact Ennis Garda Station.

In a separate incident at around 5pm on Friday, a man in his 50s suffered a serious head injury following an assault at Ballyalla Lake.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to University Hospital Limerick.

Meanwhile, a man in his 30s was treated in hospital for a facial injury after an assault in Shannon at around 10pm last Thursday.

Investigations into all three incidents are ongoing.
