The winning yacht in the Volvo Ocean Race has been greeted by a 20 thousand strong crowd in Galway.

Irishman Damien Foxall was among the crew on the French yacht Groupama which took first place overall after the closest run finish in the 39 year history of the race.
They crossed the line at about ten to one this morning.
