It’s claimed ongoing active travel works on a popular Ennis thoroughfare is causing what’s been described as “ridiculous” issues for locals and emergency services.
The €1.8m Tulla Road project which commenced last October is set to provide a 2.2km continuous cycling lane, tightened junctions and widened footpaths.

Concerns are now being raised that kerbs have become too high for vehicles to mount in emergency situations and that driving lanes have become too narrow.
Local resident Angela Naughton says the problems need to be urgently addressed.
