The West Clare Diaspora will be reconnecting this weekend with the long awaited return of a much loved festival.
The Loop Head Gathering takes place for the first time in seven years this Friday, with a full itinerary of events continuing until Sunday.

The bulk of the action will be in Cross Village and will see a celebration of traditional music and dancing.
Oraganiser Margaret Considine says it promises to be a fantastic occasion.
