A Clare domestic violence refuge has branded the number of spaces for women in need in this county as wholly inadequate.
New Oireachtas data has revealed Clare has the 10th-highest number of refuge and safe home units nationwide.

There are currently six refuge units and two safe home units in the county.
Clare Haven Manager Dr Siobhán O’Connor claims capacity hasn’t kept pace with demand.
