A West Clare tourism consultant insists that providing visitors with more things to do in Clare is the only way to stop this county being a “drive-thru” destination.

But there’s increasing concern that only the bigger tourist attractions are seeing the benefit and with visitors just stopping off in Clare for a photo.
Kilkee-based tourism consultant and former chair of Loop Head Tourism Cillian Murphy says it’s a move in the right direction and one that needs to continue.
