The INMO is calling for urgent State intervention at the University Hospital Limerick following “unacceptable” levels of overcrowding.
The organisation is reporting that 81 patients were waiting for beds at Dooradoyle this morning, 57 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 53 more than the next busiest facility.
The INMO says that despite having 100 more beds than last year, UHL still has the highest number of patients without a bed in the country.
