The latest house price figures from daft.ie show that prices increased in 2015 by 8 and a half per-cent.

The national average asking price in the final quarter of 2015 was 204-thousand euro, compared to 188-thousand euro a year ago.
In Dublin prices rose by just under 3 per-cent however, while in Limerick City there was a 22 per cent rise and in Galway prices were up by 19 per cent.
Author of the Daft Report, Ronan Lyons, says the Central Bank rules have been more effective in Dublin.
