Over 300 Children On Mental Health Waiting Lists In Clare’s CHO

The number of children on waiting lists for a mental health appointment in Clare’s Community Health Organisation area has fallen by 11% in the last month.

The latest figures from the HSE show that 3,911 people across the country were waiting for an appointment with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services at the end of July.

There are nine CHO areas in Ireland and CHO 3 which ecompasses Clare, Limerick and North Tipperary had 315 children and young adults on waiting lists.

The CHO of Cork and Kerry was worst affected with approximately 950 service users waiting to be seen.
