The Minister for Further and Higher Education has announced 80 new aircraft maintenance apprenticeship roles at Shannon Airport today.
James Lawless has been in the MidWest since yesterday, where he also launched UL’s new direct entry undergraduate Medicine programme.

The aviation apprenticeship will include a summer training option, while the new medicine course is the first established in the state in 170 years.
Minister Lawless has been telling Clare FM’s Daragh Dolan that he’s also confident of increasing accommodation options for Clare students in the medium term.
