Lowry And McIlroy Out Early This Morning For Second Round Of Amgen Irish Open In Doonbeg

Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy will be among the early starters on Day Two of the Amgen Irish Open in Doonbeg today.

Fading light and poor weather conditions forced a suspension of play late yesterday evening, with the players who didn’t complete their rounds set to get underway from 9am this morning.

Defending champion Rory McIlory goes back out for his second round at 9.30am having posted a score of one under par to sit four shots off the lead.

He was caught up in the congestion on course yesterday, and says it might be longest round of golf he’s ever played

Shane Lowry ended the day on 3 under par, and gets going again this morning from 9.40am

Joaquin Niemann holds the lead on 5 under par in Doonbeg
