A male youth has been referred to a diversion programme after Gardaí seized an offensive weapon in Ennis.
During a patrol on the Quin Road, members of the Divisional Crime Taskforce observed a youth acting suspicously.

When approached, the youth threw a concealed Stanley lock knife into an adjacent grass verge.
Gardaí subsequently recovered the knife and arrested the youth.
