The manager of the Banner GAA hurlers feels their leaders emerged when they needed most to capture the TUS intermediate hurling title.
The Shanaway Road based side completed a historic double of football and hurling crowns when seeing off Inagh-Kilnamona after extra time by 1-29 to 1-17.

Shane Meehan landed the last two scores to bring the game to the added period, while Thomas Meenaghan’s goal sparked a dominant extra time showing that saw them outscore their opponents by 1-11 to 0-2 in that period.
Manager Cian Dillon says they took control of their own destiny when it mattered.
