Historic Weekend For Clare Handball At All Ireland Doubles Championships Finals

Clare celebrated 4 All-Ireland doubles handball titles over the weekend, the Minor Doubles double being the leading light.

The Ladies and Men’s Minor doubles titles were added to both singles titles.

Clare also won Masters B titles in both Men’s & Ladies grades. While Senior ladies in their first ever final of that grade gave a strong performance though Galway retained the title to become three-in-a-row champions. Clare also lost Junior men’s final.

Ladies Masters B: Clare (Orla Considine & Sheila Sexton) dft. Kilkenny (Gabrielle Carroll & Ann Marie Lawlor) 21-6, 21-1

Men’s Masters B: Clare (Shane Walsh & Mike Baker) dft. Wexford (Shane Terry & Conor Keeling) 21-10, 21-12

Senior Ladies Final: Galway (Ciana Ní Churraoin & Niamh Heffernan) dft. Clare (Caitriona Millane & Leah Minogue) 21-4, 21-11

Men’s Junior: Kilkenny (Jack Holden & Dylan Caulfield) dft. Clare (Seanie Doyle & Tiernan Slattery) 21-7, 21-15
