Clare’s Construction Industry Federation representative says tragic fatalities highlight the continued need for employers, contractors and workers to ensure robust safety measures are in place on construction sites.
It comes as a new all-island campaign highlights the importance of keeping workers safely separated from plant, machinery and vehicles.
Twenty-five people have lost their lives in construction-related incidents involving plant, machinery or vehicles across the island of Ireland between 2016 and 2025.
CIF Director of the Southern Region, Joanne Treacy, says simple steps can help ensure lives are not lost in high-risk environments.
