Buildings in Clare are among 30 nationwide turning red today to mark International Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Awareness Day.
FASD is an often invisible disability associated with lifelong physical, mental, educational, social and behavioural difficulties, and may affect up to seven-point-four per cent of the Irish population.

Ennis-based FASD Ireland is calling on Government to recognise the condition as a disability, provide a national support framework and raise awareness of the risks of alcohol during pregnancy.
CEO of FASD Ireland Tristan Casson Rennie says the condition remains largely misunderstood, despite its lifelong impact.
