St Joseph’s made a strong start to the game as Ellie Hanrahan’s goal saw them lead by 1-2 to 0-3 after 13 minutes.

A 60 second goal burst from the Co Down outfit saw them take control of the game before half time with Grace Guest and Evie McHugh finding the net to lead 2-5 to 1-3 at the break.

The strong running of the Our Lady’s team was causing problems throughout and in the 42nd minute, their third goal arrived via Holly Donnelly to make it 3-7 to 1-5 and leave Spanish Point with a mountain to climb.

The fourth goal came at the end of a 2-4 unanswered scoring run for Our Lady’s, with Spanish Point’s woes compounded by a yellow card for Abi Kelly and a straight red for Allisha Ryan late on.

Simone Considine did get a consolation goal for St Joseph’s, who saw their 2026 season come to an end, in a year which saw them win Munster honours before reaching today’s decider.
