Minister Confident Hospitality VAT Cuts Will Benefit Clare’s Economy

The Junior Minister for Employment claims Clare’s economy will reap the benefits of a reduction to the hospitality VAT rate coming into effect on Wednesday.

Hairdressers, restaurants, cafes and takeaways will have their rate cut from 13.5% to 9% from July 1st.

It comes amid a meeting of coalition leaders tonight which will decide whether excise cuts on Petrol and Diesel will be extended.

Minister of State at the Department of Trade Enterprise and Employment Alan Dillon has been telling Clare FM’s Daragh Dolan a fair decision will be made.
