They will now take on the most recent champions left in the race when they square off with Ballyea, who were the first team into the last four after a dramatic win over Clonlara.
Barry Coote’s save to deny the south east Clare men a goal helped his side trail by just three points heading to the dressing room for the half time break with the wind to come, and manager Robbie Hogan felt that was a big moment in the game.
The other semi final tie sees Kilmaley go up against Eire Óg.
The Townies overcame Inagh-Kilnamona, while Kilmaley got the better of Sixmilebridge.
That game will be played on Saturday September 20th, with Clooney Quin and Ballyea facing off 24 hours later.
Elsewhere the line up for the TUS Premier Intermediate hurling championship knockout stages is now known.
Whitegate and O’Callaghan’s Mill secured top spot in their respective groups, and are straight through to the semi finals.
The quarter final pairings see Tubber face Clarecastle and Ruan go up against Tulla.
Those games will also be played in two weeks time.
