Tributes Pour In For Former Clare GAA Joint President Naoise Jordan

Tributes are being paid to former Clare GAA joint President Naoise Jordan, who has died at the age of 88.

The Whitegate native, who later lived in Parteen, was elected joint President of Clare GAA in 2021, after more than seven decades of service to the association.

He played senior hurling for Clare during the 1960s and dedicated much of his later years to preserving and recording the history of Clare hurling.

Naoise Jordan will be laid to rest in Ballycannon Cemetery, Meelick, on Sunday, following funeral Mass at St Patrick’s Church in Parteen.

Clare GAA Chairman Kieran Keating says he was passionate about ensuring the memories and history of Clare hurling were preserved for future generations.
