The Bishop of Killaloe claims the number of mass-going young people is at a higher rate than expected.
An Ipsos poll found just 13% of respondents between the ages of 25 – 34 that live in rural Ireland regularly attend mass.

The number of people identifying as religous has also declined with 57% of people considering themselves religous, with this dropping to 34% in the 25-34 bracket.
Bishop of Killaloe, Fintan Monahan, says a survey carried out within the diocese found a much lower rate of attendance in Clare.
