Newmarket Celtic Manager Eyes Other Silverware After FAI Junior Cup Campaign End

Liam Murphy says he’s disappointed he couldn’t guide Newmarket Celtic to the Aviva Stadium this year.

Murphy’s side lost 3-2 to Limerick’s Pike Rovers yesterday, as they aimed to become the first Clare team to reach the final of the FAI Junior Cup.

Newmarket Celtic recovered from a 2-0 deficit to neccessitate extra time, but a third Pike Rovers goal saw the Clare men exit the competition.

Murphy says he’s disappointed not to make the final of this competition, but is looking to win silverware elsewhere:
