Marcus Horan announces retirement

Veteran Munster and Ireland prop Marcus Horan has announced that he will retire at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old told his Munster team-mates of his decision and prepares to end a 14-year career that has seen him win 67 Ireland caps as well as representing his province over 220 times – making him their most-capped forward.

The Clare native was part of Ireland’s famous Grand Slam winning team in 2009 as well as Munster’s Heineken Cup victories in 2006 and 2008.
