Clare intermediate manager Kevin Kennedy has appealed to the county board to look into the possibility of postponing the next round of the county championship ahead of the All Ireland final on the 27th of august.

Clare overcame Galway on Saturday by 2-18 to 2-9 to set up the meeting with Kilkenny while the county senior hurling championship is due to continue next weekend.
Kennedy and his backroom team- who previously appealed to the board for leeway on fixtures would ideally like a fortnights preparation-but he knows it may not happen:
