All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship – Saturday, 20th July 2019
Clare 2-11 Dublin 4-5
Orlaith Duggan got the final score for Clare as they ensured they didn’t end their championship campaign with a fourth defeat.
The Banner trailed by two points entering the closing stages at Parnell Park before Chloe Morey and Orlaith Duggan ensured Ger O’Connell’s charges a share of the spoils.
It was the least Clare deserved after recovering from a bad start.
Aisling Maher was Dublin’s goal scorer as they raced into a 1-2 to 0-0 lead but Clare turned things around to go six clear at half-time.
Mairead Scanlon was the scorer-in-chief, converting 1-6, with the goal coming on 16 minutes.
Roisin Begley and Eimear Kelly also contributed to create a 1-8 to 1-2 interval advantage but the visitors were hit hard straight after the restart – three Dublin goals put Frank Browne’s team 4-3 to 1-8 in front.
Eimear Kelly got Clare’s second major to reduce arrears but the Metropolitians held the advantage until the closing stages when Chloe Morey and Orlaith Duggan ensured it finished all square.
