The Banner led 0-6 to 0-1 after the opening quarter. Four different players were on the scoreboard in that period: Aoibhinn Keane, Simone Considine, Caoimhe McMahon and Ruby Lillis.
Clare extended their lead to nine by half-time with the goal coming 20 minutes in with Ruby Lillis blasting to the net.
Simone Considine was Clare’s top scorer with 2-4.
Her first goal came early in the second half following a superb solo and classy finish to the bottom corner.
Her second was a rebound after a shot from the outstanding Caoimhe McMahon who finished with 0-6, five from play, was saved.
Derry did raid for an unanswered 1-3 midway through the second half but Simone Considine bagged her second and the Banners third goal of the evening to seal the deal and secure All Ireland glory.
Defensively the Banner were magnificent all night. Led by Ali Donnelly they didn’t concede a solitary score from play in the first half and indeed only conceded 1-3 from play in total.
