Clare have cruised to victory in the opening round of the All Ireland Ladies Intermediate Football Championship.
Goals in either half from Niamh O’Dea saw them comfortably beat Down by 2-17 to 1-9

O’Dea ended the game with a personal tally of 2-8 while Eimear Keane and Fidelma Marrinan kicked 0-3 each.
There were also points for Caoimhe Harvey, Carol O’Leary and Aine Kelly.
They’ll now have a break of two weeks before going up against Kildare and Wexford over consecutive weekends.
