Peadar Connolly returns with his newest single, The Feeling is Over – a lush and emotionally expansive pop-ballad exploring the quiet relief that can emerge after heartbreak. Written and arranged by Peadar and his ex-boyfriend, Mitchell Keely, the song traces the emotional terrain of a civil breakup: not its devastation, but the moments of release that follow. Finally saying the difficult things aloud. Leaving one another behind. Letting grief loosen its grip. And eventually realising that friendship may still remain.

Initially written as a dance-pop track, the song took on an entirely new shape when Peadar brought it to Mitch. Together, the pair dismantled and rebuilt it into something quieter, more spacious, and emotionally honest. In an unusual twist, the breakup song itself became a symbol of what survived the relationship.
