Close to €200,000 in Government funding has been announced for community organisations across Clare.
Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary, has announced a €7 million national investment to support more than 4,100 community projects across Ireland under the Local Enhancement Programme.
The scheme provides capital grants to help improve facilities, purchase essential equipment and support the invaluable work carried out by volunteers in towns, villages and communities throughout the country.
In Clare, 160 projects across a wide range of organisations, including community centres, sports clubs, Tidy Towns groups, youth organisations, family resource centres, residents’ associations and volunteer groups, will receive grants of up to €3,800.
