On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Johnathan Wilson who is the Manager of Friel’s Pub in Miltown Malbay. Johnathan expressed his delight at Friel’s winning the Regional Award of Best Pub in Munster at the Irish Restaurant Awards 2023. He described the nomination process involved in winning the award and mentioned that the pub initially won the Best Pub in County Clare Award. He outlined the various benefits associated with winning a prestigious award such as this one and believes that the pub may see an increase in customers as a result. The awards ceremony took place at the Clayton Hotel in Dublin on Monday May 15th.
